This cot size wool blanket is the perfect all year round blanket. One layer is ideal for summer, add another for perfect winter warmth.
This Aircell/Thermacell Wool Baby Blanket features a cell-like weave that allows maximum air circulation to efficiently regulate body temperature. While light and airy, cellular blankets have all the strength and robustness offered by wool. These Thermacell Aircell Weave blankets use only fine merino wool, grown in New Zealand. The fine strand wool fibres are loosely spun into a double knit bulky yarn and woven by a crochet machine into a blanket of rectangular woollen cells. The fabric material is brushed to give the fibres softness and mass. This creates a light weight and highly effective thermal insulation cover for babies and children, both in cold and hot climates.

The Hohenstein Research proved a direct relationship between temperature/ humidity changes and high heart beat rate variations (disturbed sleep patterns) of the subjects using acrylic, polyester or man made blankets, compared to the same subjects using woollen blankets. Thermal insulation is largely determined by the still air held within the product making aircell the best choice for baby blankets.
The British TOG value is the international standard measurement of all blankets thermal effectiveness (how well it keeps you warm). This blanket has been independently tested as TOG 3.7 about 40% warmer than plain weave blankets at TOG 1.7-2.6.
