The Sleep Store - Classic Cot
The Sleep Store Classic Cot is everything you need in a cot -
stylish, great quality, amazing value and in a timeless natural pine colour.
With its slimline style and simple
design, the Classic Cot looks great in any nursery - big or small, and
is a great option when using in your own bedroom or where children need
to share a room.
The Sleep Store Classic cot is made from 100% New
Zealand Pine. Other value cots have solid synthetic wood bases, whereas
we have chosen to use solid NZ pine with a slatted base for the best
ventilation.
There are two height options for the cot base:
- High - Bassinet height, can be used from newborn
- Low - To be used as soon as your baby can sit up
Quality
We have sourced these cots from a well-regarded factory in China, who makes cots for leading European nursery stores such as Mothercare. Made from New Zealand pine, your Sleep Store Classic Cot is of high quality and comes with a 12-month warranty. Our Classic Cot has been independently tested and meets the New Zealand standard.

At The Sleep Store we love products that make life easier for parents, with saving time and money being high priorities for all our team! So when we were designing a mattress protector, we also wanted it to work well as a fitted sheet. Why use a sheet and a separate mattress protector if one product could do both!
So we are thrilled to tell you about our Cotton Jersey Waterproof Mattress Protector - a mattress protector and fitted sheet in one. And yes it really does do both jobs super well. The soft jersey cotton top is lovely to sleep on. No need to add a fitted sheet over the top. This instantly saves you time and money, with one less item to put on the bed and wash.
On the reverse of the jersey cotton is our excellent waterproof and breathable layer, protecting your mattress from all the possible icky liquids that come from children! The waterproof layer is not crinkly and softens up quickly in the wash. These super useful mattress protectors are excellent for year-round use, being comfortable to sleep on and never hot or sweaty feeling as the waterproofing is so breathable.

- To prevent falls, the height of your mattress slats should be adjusted to the lowest setting before your child can sit up
- Please ensure mattress thickness does not exceed 12cm
- Recommended weight limit for this cot is 35kg including mattress
- We recommend that you protect your mattress with a mattress protector and use natural fibre washable bedding

We offer fast, economical shipping across New Zealand. All items on our website are in stock, ready to dispatch (excludes pre-order or custom size items). Most orders arrive within 1-3 business days. Auckland shipping is generally overnight or you can choose Click and Collect.
Shipping starts from $5 for small items. Just add your items to your cart and use the Shipping Estimator in the Mini Cart or Cart with your post code. Please double check your shipping in the checkout, particularly for large items which the estimator doesn’t accurately calculate.
We ship with Courier Post & Fastway. Packages are sent Non-Signature Required unless over $350 value or you request Signature Required for security concerns. If you are rural, we don’t charge extra but please do include a note on your order so we can ticket your package correctly. Please allow additional days for rural or you are ordering during holiday periods or major promotions.
Large Furniture is shipped using a designated furniture delivery service with two person delivery to the door.
