No 1. When will my baby sleep through?????
The age when your baby will sleep through varies enormously.
We consider 'sleeping through' to mean sleeping an adult length sleep from about 10pm to 6am. Once your baby is managing this amount of sleep in one stretch, you will feel human again...and that's what all this interest in sleep is really about!
Some babies can manage this from 6-8 weeks but that is pretty rare. Generally by 3 months babies can often manage this, and by 4 months most babies can do it physiologically, assuming they are putting on weight well, re happy and healthy, and were full term.
If your baby is 4 months or older and is not sleeping about an 8 hour stretch, there may well be things you can do that make a big difference.
We are not saying that all babies or even half of all babies are sleeping through at 4 months...just that this is the age we consider it possible for the majority of babies if you follow our sleep advice and are prepared to do some sleep training to encourage longer sleep.
